We will try to keep track of events taking place globally in the area of animal-based tourism. As the sub-field continues to grow, we hope there will be sustained involvement in conferences, meetings, publications, and industry developments. If you have something in mind, let us know!

While conferences dedicated to animal-based tourism are rare, the theme often emerges in conferences with a broader mandate. Examples include wildlife tourism, ecotourism, sustainable tourism, and critical tourism studies.

We will seek and support those, either connected with CAT or others, who wish to enlighten us on the virtues of a more ethical approach to animal-based tourism.

Our hope is that industry, NGOs, and governmental organizations will share the load in heightening the dialogue on good policies and practices in animal-based tourism.
